1. Information We Collect

AetherIA collects the following categories of information:

Account Information: Email address, display name, and authentication credentials via Supabase Auth.
Usage Data: Token consumption, model usage, session metadata, and feature interactions for billing and analytics.
Uploaded Files: Documents, images, and data files you choose to upload for AI processing. File content is transmitted to AI providers but not permanently stored beyond the request lifecycle.
Conversation Data: Chat messages and AI responses are stored in your account for session continuity.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide AI-powered analysis, generation, and conversation features.
To calculate usage costs and manage billing.
To improve service quality and detect anomalous behavior.
To comply with legal obligations.

3. Third-Party AI Providers

Your prompts and uploaded file content may be processed by:

Google Vertex AI: For Gemini and Anthropic Claude model inference. Subject to Google Cloud's data processing terms.
OpenRouter: For access to multiple AI models. Subject to OpenRouter's privacy policy.

These providers process data to generate responses and do not use your data for model training unless separately agreed to by you with those providers.

4. Data Retention

Conversation data is retained as long as your account is active.
Uploaded file content is transient — processed during the request and not permanently stored.
Audit logs are retained for 90 days for security monitoring.
Billing records are retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.

5. Your Rights

Access: You can export your conversation history and data at any time.
Deletion: You can delete individual sessions or request full account deletion.
Consent withdrawal: You can revoke file upload consent in Settings, which will prevent future file processing.
Data portability: Your data can be exported in standard formats.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), row-level security for data isolation, input validation and sanitization, audit logging and anomaly detection, and secret redaction in logs.

7. Cookies & Tracking

AetherIA uses cookies and similar local-storage technologies for: (a) essential session and authentication functionality, (b) optional analytics to understand usage patterns, and (c) optional marketing measurement. You may manage your preferences at any time via the Cookie Preferences page.
